A prominent Drupal training company, Lullabot, first made me aware of BrowserMob when they spoke about load testing Grammy.com to prepare for the traffic onslaught on the night of the music industry's Grammy Awards. It turns out that BrowserMob also offers website monitoring, and they have an awesome tool for determining your cost.
Most companies create pricing plans with artificial tiers, and comparing plans between each company is more complex than it should be. As a first step when selecting companies to review on Web Server Monitor Report, I researched how much it would cost to monitor 10 URLs every half hour with a content check.
Here's a screen shot of the website monitor pricing tool. It's so simple! If you monitor more URLs more frequently from more locations, cost goes up for BrowserMob, and the company passes that on to the customer. At $99/month for checking 10 URLs every half hour, the price is on the high end, but since their pricing page is this slick, I'm hoping their reports will be impressive.
